Recently in an esteemed educational institution in India, a beef party (eating beef) was held that turned into a fisticuff between students due to violation of  religious sentiments, this was politicised and sensationalised by the media. This created a furore requiring the director of institution to step up and contain the situation.

Here is is a limerick on this, as a statement from the director of the esteemed institution, purely is figment of my imagination, no politics or offence intended.

Hello all
I am filled with grief
So will be brief
Sorry that the party
was all about beef patty
Sadly a student was naughty
making the situation very knotty.

Let me tell you
Studying here is not milk and honey
Never was it meant to be beef and money
Sadly an incident relating to a cow
has made our head bow.

I am no COWboy
to pick up a fight
Nor a COWard
to run away from sight.
Tis truly an incident untoward.

To the cow horde
drop your sword
forgive the wayward
and let us march forward.
