We read more words, have less conversation, see lots of videos, but see less eye-to-eye, shut our ears with headphones and talk much less. We take more selfies, but find it harder to understand oneself. We interact digitally with a poke, a wave, an emoticon and less with a gentle touch. Now we have BOTS, avatars, agents that befriend us to entice us into a relationship. In the barrage of interactions everyday in today’s world…
Shrug it and soar
Today evening when I was cycling in my neighbourhood, an eagle swooped down to pick up something from the road. A scooterist hit the eagle and went away. I stopped to help the eagle, he struggled a bit, shook himself and flew away soaring into the skies, not needing my help. Amazing. Wow, wish we could all shake ourselves and soar away when we get hit in life. Profound learning today. – “Shake it and…
shrug it off and soar
A kite swooped low and got hit by a biker. Stunned it was for a moment, but then it then shook itself and flew away! It taught e a life lesson. Well, he has been cycling hard over many mountains battling strong winds, whilst I sat down peacefully imagined and penned it…
sparkling
Switch from alcohol to sparkling water! Enjoy the poem ‘sparkling’.
The bottle
Everyday when I walk my dog, I am irritated at the sight of many alcohol bottles strewn in my neighbourhood streets. Shapely and shiny, they seem to say Hi to me. Moving from soda to alcohol today, here is my take on ‘The bottle’ to inspire us to carry on undeterred despite being broken every day. Cheers!
Goli Soda
Hmmm, am in mood for fun poems inspired by comment thread. Here is one for you Senthil Kali, your request for a poem on ‘Goli Soda’, (your comment on my last post). Cute but naughty one, methinks. If you want the female version of this read my prior poem post “Orange Soda”
Two wheels
