A reflection of one of those days when you are down and when something magical happens. Have you ever felt this way?
Many years it took me to find out
A poem that I loved writing about my dad R Thiruvengadam. Submitted to Paula Love’s contest on the theme ‘Admiration’. Awarded Gold.
Hennur Bamboo Ultra
As I stepped in into my next year on earth, I became a member of the 100 miler club over the weekend by completing the 100 miler run (161KM, actually 162) in 32h 37m at Hennur Bamboo Ultra with my feet brother Nirav Patel! Loved it Nirav. A brilliant experience, all credits to Sushil Kumar Bhasin and Ankur Bhasin of Bhasin Sports. Here is the first poem on this experience. Ever grateful to Raj Vadgama…
Off we go into another lovely day
Another lovely day begins with the dog walk! Still it is, at the break of dawn I am awake with a big yawn My dog greets me with a bark As it is time for his walk Hot cuppa of tea unleashes me In his mouth, his favourite leash Off we go into another lovely day.

The pressure of life
My muse went quiet for two months. After watching the busy last couple of months at work, it could take it no more and burst out with “The pressure of life”. Have you ever felt intense pressure, that you did not resist but absorbed it, converting the helplessness and negativity into a “quiet strength” changing you internally?
God help us
“God help us ” – A third poem on the issue of lakes in Bangalore especially Varthur & Bellandur. The first one “She set herself on fire” was like a report, the second “Waiting for next chance” (posted earlier) was hard-hitting & strong with a sad ending whilst this ends on a note on dejection.
She set herself on fire
Belandur lake was on fire recently and it took a large contingent of Army personnel (5000 of them) to douse it. Sridhar Pabbisetty has been spearheading this issue, but our city officials are resilient!
Just to warm your heart
As I ran on Pongal day morning, the golden shaft of light streaming through the branches went through my head energising me and triggering my muse. I am grateful to these sun rays that travel millions of miles just to warm your heart. During the run when I see the bright sun, I extend my arms, look upwards and gracefully accept the streaming sunlight, an embodiment of cosmic energy into me. An apt day for…
