All about silicon city – namma Bengaluru

Out of town

On election day, the roads were empty as namma citizens relaxed, going out of town for vacation. On result day, the roads are empty too as namma citizens were working from home, glued to TV. Work-life balance in the sillycon city. #sillyconCity (#124)

Stop anywhere

The gentleman in the cement truck slowed and stopped in the middle of road, took out his mobile phone and called the customer for directions. Cleanup

It is amazing what namma citizens dispose off on the road. At the start of summer season it was sofa, then mattress and now a commode. Jeez, serious spring cleaning.  Some amazing people in sillycon city. #sillyconCity (#122)

Slice of heaven

Cool breeze, fresh earthy smell, a calm green all round. Road filled with walkers, runners, skateboarders, cyclists, happy dogs, flocks of pigeons. Just bursting with joyous positive energy. A typical Sunday morning at Cubbon Park at namma Bengaluru. An slice of heaven in the sillycon city. #sillyconCity (#121)

Mobile messaging

Aarama

A massive jam is on the main with frenetic honking. The two people walking on the service road greet each other “Yen Saar, Aarama”. (“All well Sir?”) This is what I love about our namma city. The beautiful greeting in sillycon city. #sillyconCity (#119)

Love is not pedestrian

A young couple walk with hands intertwined on the main road.  I love the confidence of our citizens.  I love the respect the drivers have for them. They honk only at the other fellow drivers, never at this lovey-dovey couple.  Love is not pedestrian in the sillycon city. #sillyconCity (#118)

Endurance training

The traffic ensures long times to be logged, the bone-ratting surface strengthens joints, jams help you generate high power, crossing the road makes you agile, honks zone you and gets you into the empty zone, high pollution ensures you are training with low oxygen(kinda like high altitude training), the continuous dodging of anyone coming opposite you ensures making navigation skill a habit.  Training the sillycon way….
