In the world of superficiality, a genuine smile touches the heart and lightens the soul. Many years ago my long flight from US to Dubai on Emirates turned out be wonderful as the young male attendant in my section had a lovely genuine smile and served us joyfully. We continued to smile at each other many times, I vividly remember this after nearly a decade.
The trigger for this poem was a lovely recent post from Arun Madhavan titled ‘Gift a smile’, thank you Arun ji. And to you Paula Wilkins who values a smile very much.
