The slip
With a heavy heart I have to DNF after reaching Thirsk 400km in the LEL. The details At 120km I nicked the curb and fell down. Just some scrapes on the kneee. Washed it with water, rode to the control 80 kms later and put savlon ointment. Rode to next control abut 97 kms on the night with another German leisurely . Riding in the English countryside
Oh, I loved riding the cycle in the English countryside on the second day after landing in UK. Written in Harlow, UK. Eyes flitting Between cue sheet and road Scenery quickly twitting On both sides, very broad Only befitting For the cyclist, rhythm flowed Chilly winds blow Sunlight, a mild glow Horses majestically tip-toe Life in the countryside slow Oh the joy of cycling In the English countryside.

on NEET
In response to my post on ‘I found the secret of Indian RAAM finishers’ (26 June) where I suggested that being the doctor is key to being a RAAM finisher from India as seven of the eight RAAM finishers were doctors, my good friend Ravi suggested that I do NEET (the national level exam for engineering/medicine) and become a doctor to successfully complete RAAM.
