In response to my post on ‘I found the secret of Indian RAAM finishers’ (26 June) where I suggested that being the doctor is key to being a RAAM finisher from India as seven of the eight RAAM finishers were doctors, my good friend Ravi suggested that I do NEET (the national level exam for engineering/medicine) and become a doctor to successfully complete RAAM. And my good friend Satish seconded that.
I could not resist coming up with a limerick as a rejoinder to Ravi’s and Satish’s comments. Here it is, enjoy!l
(My response as mono rhyme limerick)
RAAM it in, NEET
so for long time on feet
you need to do NEET
to accomplish the feat
this sounds neat
but not so sweet
a lot of meat
and back to heat
would rather cleat
feet on the street
though I maybe beat
certainly worth a bleat
ride thro’ sleet
over boggy peat
clean food I eat
sweet beet
and whole wheat
oh no meat
still deadbeat
no sir, I will seat
and just tweet
and comfort my feet
Author Notes (ADDENDA)
Now the comment story did not end here.
Satish responded with limerick-style comment over a next few minutes we exchanged limerick-style comments resulting in a Part 2! Enjoy this.
Part 2:

(S) for me that ain’t gonna be a caveat
(A) I am no elite, you have put me in hot seat
(S) Your enthusiasm and energy does always permeate
(A) Thank you mate, ’tis a serious mandate
